Meet Dr. Don Sanders
Consulting Experience
Don has attended and led in churches of all sizes from small, rural churches to a suburban megachurch. This breadth of experience allows him to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of churches of every size. As a leadership consultant, Don has served churches in all settings (urban, suburban, and rural), sizes (small, medium, and large), and audiences (entire congregations to staff to elders).
Ministry Experience
For over 34 years, Don has served as a pastor in Christian Churches of all sizes in a variety of roles. His experience in children and student ministries, discipleship, preaching, campus leadership, and leadership development provide wealth of insight.
Education Background
Don graduated from St. Louis Christian College with a B.A. in Preaching. He continued his theological studies at Lincoln Christian Seminary with a M.A. in Old Testament and Master of Religious Education. He earned his research doctorate from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Education). His doctoral work focused on organizational leadership while his dissertation research examined the role of leadership development in church revitalization.
Teaching Experience
Throughout his ministry career, Don has kept one foot in the academy as he has taught both undergraduate and graduate students from St. Louis Christian College, Central Christian College of the Bible, Lincoln Christian University, and Lincoln Seminary at Ozark Christian College. His courses include biblical languages, education, ministry, and leadership. He serves as the Dean of Graduate and Online Studies at Central Christian College of the Bible.
Personal
Don has been married to his wife Stephanie for 34 years. Both their adult children serve in full-time ministry and their grandkids are the best. In his spare time. Don is an avid runner, supporter of St. Louis sports teams, and relentless advocate of fine writing instruments.
